I’m writing this post because I want to share about the secrets of blogging and inform friends and strangers about my hobby. I know some of you have secret comments about me: that I’m “feeling famous” and “trying hard.” But, I’m always prepared to answer hindrances in the most graceful way. I’m grateful that even if I wasn’t interested in using the Internet before I became a professional blogger, there are people who encouraged and inspired me to try it. Luckily, they’ve given me the courage to hone my writing skills and enjoy the world of blogging.
Yes, maybe I’m “feeling famous” and “trying hard.” However, there are many advantages of blogging that are the perfect answers of my goal to avoid the Rat Race drama. I’m so sickly these days that I don’t really like waking up early in the morning and prepare for an 8am-5pm work assignment.
The Benefits of Blogging
Aside from an opportunity to avoid a rigid daily work load, there are other advantages of blogging. Here are some points that I’d like to share with you.
Earn money through blogging. Obviously, earning money online is one of the reasons that I write blog posts for companies. But my personal blogs are just for fun and keeping records. I’ve also earned money by writing blog posts for Sponsored Reviews.
Have an access to interesting events. There are events that are truly interesting and all I have to do to have a slot is to blog about it. When I started signing up for events, I was very careful in selecting only those that are really interesting. I had a chance to have a conversation with local stars because of blogging. I met a lot of inspiring individuals after I’ve attended some events relating to fashion, food and travel. I’m also grateful to my sponsors for allowing me and my husband to watch free movies.
Enjoy free fine dining and travel. Every time I support products and services, I always get a chance to enjoy free fine dining and travel. The money that I’ve spent in all of my recent travel escapades came from my blogging sponsors.
In addition, I became a better writer because of blogging. My creativity and perseverance increased, especially when I have to finish several tasks in a short period of time. I had the chance to widen my network and meet new friends. I became a good researcher and a multi-tasker. The only downside is having lack of time to enjoy my other hobbies such as making accessories and reading novels.
