The ancient Greeks and Romans started building luxurious swimming pools for many purposes. For thousands of years, water itself played such an important part of society. Not only were pools considered as part of a landscape to enhance the beauty of properties, but pools were also used for bathing, health, religious ceremony, socializing and more. Now that we’re living in a modern society, swimming pools are also built to provide recreation and luxury.

 Speaking of recreation, I had an opportunity to experience the Aqua Pool Party at Manila Ocean Park last April 28. The overall ambiance of the high-tech theme park of the country was incredibly upped with the beautifully designed Liquid Pool and Lounge and also the magnificent recreation area, Acquatica. (more…)
